SHAWN EPPERS,

VICE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE SERVICES

An entrepreneur at heart, Shawn knew that one day he'd have to make a living. So he set aside his "Warhol" dream and went back to school. With a solid advertising and design education, Shawn began Commercial Concepts (changed to Medvec-Eppers Advertising in 1999) business partner Jason Medvec in 1994.

The duo combined their skills and passion for the ad biz and started blowing the doors off other twin city firms. Through the Twin Cities Marathon annual design competitions and the rebranding of the Uptown Art Fair, they started to get noticed.

Today, after successfully pursuing every advertising/marketing creative discipline - from package design to international print advertising campaigns - Shawn is happy growing the company and focusing on the creative direction of the agency and its clients.

As a new business strategist and director of creative services, Shawn is heads up the creative of all M-E product. His group creates innovative consumer packaging, brand ID, inovative web solutions and advertising executions for agency clients. He and his group can resurrect the dead and give birth to unique brand building for a variety of products, services and their communications.

up close and personal:

Shawn is well known for his clever antics and for lengthy disappearances into his office and not surfacing until the ideas are perfectly alined with the sales objectives and brand positioning developed for the client. He's also well known for his beautiful wife and three daughters and for having a strange "attraction" to bulldogs. (We're not really sure why there's a picture of a cross-dressing bulldog in his office, and we don't ask. Mmm.)

Another interesting factoid: Shawn is the ex-band manager for several of Jason's bands. Once affectionately known as "Dish," Shawn's resume includes light man, gig coordinator and was responsible for special KGOJ (keep the guys out of jail) ops.
